We're teaming up with our friends at Femmze to host a special series of live events dedicated to supporting women, teens and tweens with their menstrual journey and wellbeing.
Saturday 21st October | From: 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm with Emmie Rae
The DEEP Unwind, and the art of rest.
What if you decided, if only for a moment, to sink below the voice of urgency, and listen to the whispers of the body first?
What if you decided, Rest was no longer a waste of time, but instead, a declaration of self worth?
What if you decided, finally, that it was okay to measure your success by appreciating the sun on your skin or making your favourite person laugh, instead of how much you managed to tick off the list.
We are cyclical beings, our soft edges constricted in a linear world. How would it feel to slow all the way down to the pace of the earth? How would it feel to sink back into the rhythm of one who knows about the fertility of winter, the ephemeral days of spring?
Yes it’s counter cultural, but it’s also deeply primal, to spend ample time doing nothing at all. To know yourself seperate from the noise of the rest of the world. To breathe out slowly as if you have nowhere else to be. To co-regulate, finally, with the earth.
Join us for a 90min restorative yoga session/workshop taught by the Queen of rest Emmie Rae. Designed to help you understand how to build more moments of rest into your daily life, and especially during the menstrual phase.
Thursday 26th October 2023 | From: 6:00pm – 7:30pm with Samantha Neal
The menstrual awareness revolution is well underway. Join menstrual educator Samantha Neal as she discusses the origins of this movement, the cultural challenges posed to it, and that this growing awareness has to offer us in contemporary times.
This will be a soulful, insightful and nurturing experience where you will hopefully walk away feeling a deep sense of connection to what you have always known.
Sunday 29th October 2023 | From: 10:00 am – 11:30 am with Samantha Neal
This is a very special, and not to be missed opportunity for girls aged between 11-15 years old to attend along with their mother or mentor.
This workshop offer girls a gentle, warm and welcoming space to learn about the menstrual cycle. Through a blend of discussion, storytelling, crafting and circling, together we explore the physiological changes that can take place throughout the cycle, as well as simple ways to care for and support ourselves during each phase.
In these current times where girls are subjected to immense pressures and narratives, the intention of this workshop is to plant the seeds of genuine self love, nurturance and celebration of the female experience.
