Join Amy G over two weekends to dive into the essentials of a flow yoga practice.

Week 1

Saturday 17th August

Creating a practice from healthy foundations ensures a practice for a lifetime. In this workshop we will go over the key things that help support a healthy and inspired practice every time you come to your mat. Leave feeling more knowledgeable than before.

What you will learn:

  • Cultivating an easy breath rhythm
  • Sthira and Sukha, the essential balance of a yoga practice
  • Core Stability using Bandhas (muscle activation)
  • Essential Joint stability for upper and lower body
Week 2

Saturday 24th August

This workshop will transfer the essential skills for a healthy yoga practice from week 1, to key alignment poses in class. Where to place your feet and hands, what muscles should be working, and subtle body movements to be mindful of will be explored and personalised for your unique body. This workshop will leave you feeling empowered and ready to expand your practice.

What you’ll learn: 

  • Basic anatomy understanding to deepen your practice or modify where you need to
  • Key alignment in a connecting vinyasa (Downward Dog, High Plank, Low Plank, Cobra, Updog)
  • Standing warrior series alignment for different body shapes
