Yin & Yang Philosophy & Sequencing
100 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Kate Kendall & Maryanne Edwards
Explore Yin & yang as a map of relativity.
What makes something yin or yang?
Where does that occur in the body mind.
Where does that occur in nature?
Join Kate and Maryanne for this unique training designed for the teacher and / or student who is inspired to lead intelligent, creative and moving sequences or give their practice (for non-teachers) more intention in both Vinyasa and Yin Yoga.
This is a 100 hour Yoga Teacher Training exploring both Yin and Yang sequencing and teaching methodology and how we can apply the yin to the yang and the yang to yin both on and off the mat.
Enrich and empower your already existing knowledge on yogic philosophy and how you can start weaving it into your classes in a way that is simple to understand, authentic and approachable.
Although seemingly separate, the modules are divinely connected to illustrate and reveal ‘The Intersect’ – a place that combines both the yin and the yang. Maryanne and Kate cross reference and bring their own personal experiences as students and teachers alike across the two teaching methods so that a meta theme and connectivity is established, giving your own teaching style and/or practice an edge and roundness.
AMPLIFY YOUR VOICE
Already starting to shape a voice or main messaging through your teaching, posts, writing and however else you ‘create’ in life? Learn tools that are simple in approach to avoid over thinking, over structuring and over ‘preaching’.
THE PHILOSOPHER’S GUIDE TO THEMING
How do we take a philosophy that resonate with, turn it into a theme and make it both local (familiar for the individual student) as well as global (for the class as a whole)?
Supercharge your understanding of Intelligent Sequencing on top of your already existing knowledge to create seamless and ‘easeful’ classes that feel good and take care of the body.
An exploration of the elements and how they can be used in theming and your own self practice to deliver inspiring and playful practices.
SERENADING THE SENSES
How we can use the senses as a tool to take students ‘deeper’ into their yogic experience whilst in your care. Look at sound, smell and how to set up your room in a way that fosters a state of calm.
Learn and map the main meridians of the energy body according to TCM.
THE 5 PHASES
How does energy behave in a way that we might have observed in nature? With the 5 element theory we can learn our unique constitution and how we might balance the individual in relation to the seasons.
Within the body map we have many different terrains. Explore muscles, organs, connective tissues, bones, fluids, cells. How these systems come together as a whole body community and which practices nourish which systems.
THE ART OF ATTENTION
Where attention goes Qi flows, how important is the intentionality of our practices – whether we are physically challenged or actively resting?
CRAFTING A CLASS
The framework of how to create meaningful sequences by clarifying your unique intention for not only 1 class but all of your classes.
